Public Trasnportation Systems in Barcelona
One-way tickets including changes of lines for all urban lines is available for €1,30. A bus or metro ticket also lets you use trains of the FGC and vice versa. Tip: A T10, which can be used to travel 10 times for €6,65 covers the entire city and can be given to another person.

Metro (underground): The metro network includes 8 lines, L1-L8 (L6, L7 and L8 had different names until now), these run every 3-8 minutes according to what time of day it is. Going from Mon-Thu, Sundays & bank holidays 5am-midnight. Fri, Sat and days before bank holidays 5am-2pm. You can get a metro map from any metro station you encounter.

Buses: Apart from regular and night buses, you´ll also see, thereés the Aerobus (going to the airport) and the Tomb bus (1st class bus between Pl. Catalunya and Diagonal, Pl. Pius XII). TMB gives out a free guide for all bus lines at four of their service stations: Metro-stations Universitat, Diagonal, Sagrada Familia and Sants Estaçió.

FGC (underground) The FGC network in Barcelona consists of a total of 6 lines (U6, U7, S1, S55, S5, S2). They operate almost identically to those of the metro.

Taxis are available at the cities many taxi stops (for instance at the Plaça Catalunya) and via taxi service lines (e.g. Barna Taxi: +34 933 57 77 55 or +34 933 00 23 14). Yellow-black taxis can be  be stopped directly on the street as well. A green light on the roof means, that the taxi is available. You´ll see that what they charge is a lot less than in England, France or Germany (journeys within the city cost from €2,50, plus additional charges for luggage), which you´ll find quite beneficial, especially if you need to move during the night.
